Governors of Telemark and Hubei launch the Opening Ceremony of Hubei-Norway Week in Telemark University College.

Hubei-Norway Week 2009 was initiated through a series of speeches given by the provincial leaders of both Hubei and Telemark. The Ambassadors of the respective countries also gave their thanks and welcomes to the participants of the conference. Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce and Hubei Provincial Administration of Tourism gave a beautiful and educational presentation of Hubei province and gave an in depth run through of what Hubei has to offer tourists. In closing there was an official signing ceremony where new agreements were made and old agreements where renewed to the on looking crowds great enthusiasm.

Hubei-Norway Week 2009

Hubei-Norway Week 2009 Telemark, Norway 7th to 10th of September, 2009

Organizers: Telemark Province, Norway and Hubei Province, China

Aim of the event:

Norway, Gateway to Europe

Bridge-building and network-building between Hubei and Norway within the thematic sectors (below) providing both Chinese and Norwegian perspectives in these areas. The exhibition will give Chinese companies the opportunity to inform about their services and products to a Norwegian market, as well as providing the people of Telemark with information and knowledge about China. It will also help in strenghtening the existing cooperation Telemark Province already has with Hubei Province.

A gift from Hubei province -- “Bian Zhong”

Before the welcome dinner at 6th Sep. 2009, the "Bian Zhong" a kind of musical instrument from 2500 years ago was presented as a gift from Hubei Province to Telemark Province, and represent the solid friendship between these two provinces.
